STYLIST'S PICK

FROM CANVAS TO WARDROBE

by Masho Naskidashvili & Salome Jakeli

Georgian fashion is impossible without Georgian art. That’s also the way we see the DNA of IERI store.  Our stylist chose 5 exquisite paintings by famous Georgian artists and assembled contemporary looks matching them.

All items are available at IERI store flag-ship store in Tbilisi and on IERISTORE.COM. with a free worldwide delivery

LOOK 1

This outstanding painting gave us a very sophisticated and feminine vibe. For that we chose LIYA‘s brick coloured trench from the new spring-summer 2020 collection. Also gold toned jewelry by the same designer and white slickback shoes by Idee Fixe.

Lado Gudiashvili (1896-1980) “Eteri and The Fox” 1959

LOOK 2

The characters are dressed up in traditional Georgian clothes, so we decided to stick to a black Chokha (a traditional Georgian coat) and style it with a George Keburia white midi skirt and white oversized sunglasses from his latest 2020 spring-summer collection. For the shoes we chose white ones from Le Mocassin Zippe

Lado Gudiashvili (1896-1980), “Tbilisi Scene”, early 1920s

LOOK 3

The bright tones of this work inspired us to choose a bright yellow suit, from LIYA’s spring-summer 2020 collection and the same designer’s gold toned earrings. For the shoes we went with mocha coloured  loafers from Le Mocassin Zippe.

Davit Kakabadze (1889-1952), “Imereti” 1934

LOOK 4

Imagine, a local girl walking down the streets of old Tbilisi in warm weather. We decided to choose a lemon coloured midi dress from Ingorokva spring-summer 2020 collection, paired with brown slickback shoes by Le Mocassin Zippe. And Tiko Paksa kilo-bag not to be forgotten for some  fresh fruits and vegetables.

Elene Akhvlediani (1898-1975), “Old Tbilisi.”

LOOK 5

The blue undertones on this picture immediately reminded us of the baby blue suit from George Keburia’s 2020 spring-summer collection and a yellow bag to go with it. With Crosty white sneakers we decided to keep it more of a casual look.

Rusudan Petviashvili (1968-) “The prince and the Truth”
